We are the Behavioral Neurophysiology Lab. We study how the human brain influences and is influenced by physical health. We are especially interested in how the brain affects heart disease risk and how heart disease risk might affect the function and structure of the brain. Our interests span multiple levels of analysis and we use a variety of methodological approaches. Our ongoing research focuses primarily on the neurophysiology of psychological stress and its relationship to biological, behavioral, and social determinants of health disparities.
